I want to take this time to wish everyone a Happy New Year! As we enter the new year, I’m wishing the best for everyone. 2017 had its ups and down as it became clear that I had no time to devote to my blog as I had wished. Between work and the ups/downs of my personal life, I really had no time.
So, will 2018 be any better? Probably not. For work, I have many major projects that have to be completed this year. There is no time allowed to let the schedules slide. Another thing is the sadness we are expecting as my mother’s last remaining younger sister is at the end of her life. Time is really precious and we really need to spend time with love ones when we can. This year also marks the 2 year anniversary of my beloved sister’s death. Again, death is expected but that doesn’t make it any easier to accept.
Regardless. I hope that every has a wonderful and prosperous New Year. I do plan on returning to review at least one movie each month and I still have several blog posts to complete or write. Here are some of those I plan to write…one day:
A Night with beWhy in Washington DC (Concert review)
Best of 2017 Japanese Dramas (Still watching a few so I’m not ready)
Best 2017 Movies (Chinese,Japanese, Korean)
U-Prince Series (What’s Good, Bad, and Ugly)
Taiga Japanese Dramas I’ve Enjoyed in 2017 (Tenchijin, Chuushingura no Koi)
Astro Fan Meet in Washington DC (Upcoming in February 2018)
We have finally approached the new year today. So many things happened for 2016 which makes me so happy to leave it behind. The death of my favorite aunt in August, followed by one of older sister’s death in September, took a tremendous toll on me spiritually and personally. It made Thanksgiving , Christmas and this New Years hard to get through. So, now we are in 2017. With the start of Trump administration at the end of the month, all we can do is pray for everyone that we make it through this period. I hate politics so I won’t dwell too much on it other than to hope that we don’t suffer the idiocy of an incompetent President and that he truly leads this country with respect and maintain the world comraderie that we have gained over the last year. What we don’t want is another stupid war run by stupid men that don’t/won’t sacrifice their own sons to fight. I don’t want to see Russia from my house. I don’t want to see the poor suffering. And lastly, I don’t want to see the elderly and sick to be ignored and forgotten. That is my wish for the next 4 years.
But let’s change the subject to happier things. I really fell behind in my blog postings because of my sister’s illness. Still to come are several reviews for daily dramas that I completed last year (Tomorrow’s Victory, Heaven’s Promise, and Working Mom, Parenting Dad), major posting for the Chinese mega drama, Three Kingdoms, and finally my end of year posting for 2016 as well as the Fall 2016 Japanese drama season. 2017 promises to deliver more of the same. Hopefully, we will get some great Korean dramas this year so I can return to watching. Let’s wait and see!

Tis the season to be jolly! As Christmas Day, 2015 approaches, I would like to take the time to wish everyone that celebrates, a joyous and merry Christmas. This time last year, I had just finished chemotherapy for Breast Cancer and was weeks into radiation. So, this holiday season is truly special for me as I approach 2016 cancer free (or so they say). There are so many that aren’t as blessed that are still fighting the fight and I wish them all the power to conquer and continue to fight! Continue reading
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here's an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 32,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 12 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

It was actually a decent year. I remember when I first switched from Blogger to WordPress. I’m hoping to do more posts that are largely ignored by others. So, you will continue NOT to see me talking about a lot of the dramas (and movies) that others will (you’ll see some). I definitely want to thank the 800+ followers! I appreciate it and hope to bring more as the new year begins! See more on Chinese and Thai lakorn dramas for 2015. Keep the comments coming!!
