🎶End of the Year Concert with Amber 🎶(2018) ❤️

GONE ROGUE 2018

The best way to end the year is with the best concert (for me) with Amber Liu! I cannot begin to tell you how much fun we had this past Friday, December 7, 2018 at the U Street Music Hall on Georgia Ave. It is an teenie tiny club that I went to for the first time since living in the Northern Virginia area for more years than most of you have been born. It was an honor and privilege to get to see Amber who is just so damn talented and such a personable K-Pop idol! Amber is so down to earth that her fans can feel it just being in her presence. This is the first time since I started going to KPop concerts that any of the female artists have graced our neck of the woods! Continue reading

K-Rap Nights in Washington, DC with BewhY, Mad Clown and San E (2018)

BewhY
Mad Clown & San E

WOW! 2 posts in the same month! I’m on a roll!! Korean rap hit the states with a vengeance last fall, 2017 and this Spring. Both concerts, I was fortunate to attend at the Howard Theater in Washington, DC. The theater is actually nice! My only complaint is when you reach a certain age, standing room only venues are NOT my favorites; however, one good thing that can help with the constant standing is if the music is right and the crowd is excited. A Night with KARD (2017)

KARD in Washington, D.C (2018)

You don’t have to tell me how late I am in writing this! I know. After a couple of months of writing performance reviews at work, I was really tired of sitting at the computer/laptop and writing anything at length, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it; however, I promised that I would write something before bewhY concert at Howard University Theater in November. So, with one day to go, here I am. Putting remembrance to blog post. Continue reading

A Night With G-Dragon…..And Some Really Great Friends! (2017)

G-Dragon aka Kwon Ji-yong

Of course I am writing this weeks after my return from Canada. First of all, what a wonderful experience to meet new friends for the first time! Friends that when you get to hang out with them and talk to them, its like you’ve known them for years!! Okay, I digress from the real reason you probably came to check out this blog post. However, my trip, suggested by my new BF Jay to come to Toronto to see G-Dragon was an utter success! Not only did I get a chance to meet Jay but also to see and meet our little maknae, Mawiie after years of talking to her on Twitter, Kakao, and Facebook! In addition, it was a chance to meet another new young friend, Marie! I guess I can consider myself a seasoned concertgoer as this makes my second full concert (BAP has the first honors) and my only fanmeet (and probably my last) with GOT7. More to come for September 2017 when me and my BAP concert buddies do a repeat and we go see K.A.R.D at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. Continue reading

My First KPop Concert EVER~~B.A.P Party Tour 2017

B.A.P Party Tour 2017
Washington D.C.

There is no party like a B.A.P tour party! What a way to pop the proverbial KPop concert cherry! That’s right! I said it! This was my first EVER KPop concert and I can tell you after the blast I had, this will NOT be my last! I had such a great time with Nelly, Jaeswoon, and Van! What better way to start out the evening but at Momofuku’s in D.C. Though the food was tasty, it truly is a bite-size meal. Luckily I was too excited to care! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal but now it was time to walk the few blocks over to Warner Theater. Continue reading

Movie Monday – No, Just How I Survived My First (and Last) GOT7 Fan Meet

GOT7 Turbulence in D.C January 22, 2017

GOT7 Turbulence in D.C
January 22, 2017

So, as you can see there is no Movie Monday post. Why you ask? Because I’m still recovering from my first and (mostly likely) last fan meet! No, it wasn’t because I had a bad time, I had a wonderful time. No, it wasn’t because it isn’t memorable, it was. No, it’s not because we stood in line, in the rain for 5 1/2 hours BEFORE we were even close enough to get in the building. The major problem is when you’re not of teenage age and you have to be in a venue with standing room only with aggressive and quite rude U.S teenagers, patience and politeness simply don’t exist.
