Final Episode

After the Detective Kataoka (Tsutomu Takahashi) is slashed by this new and crazy character, Makabe Towa (Sei Ashina). Besides the blue eye contacts, this woman is super NUTS. The ambulance arrives at the hospital and it is nice to know that he will live. At the hotel, the other detectives are canvassing the scene for clues. From reviewing the CCTV, it was shown that Sato Toyoru (Nozomi Sasaki) had taken the elevator to the 2nd floor. So, the big question is “Who was on Toto/Shoji’s floor?” They see the video of the floor with Makabe who hasn’t been identified yet. Did I saw that Shoji is now missing? That he is. The detectives know that the unidentified person was responsible for Fujikawa’s murder as it is his cell phone that was found in the room. Chief Atsuta notices that Makabe is saying something to Todo.

Episode 8

How much do I dislike Shoji? Let me count the ways. As we are winding down and getting closer to the end, there is one thing that comes crystal clear. Shoji really thinks his attitude and police image is untainted. And also a new mysterious person enters into the fray and I have no idea who she is. To finish this up, I will first review episode 8 and then finish up with episode 9. Sorry for taking so long. It’s not because I didn’t like this drama; loved it. But real life in the last 4 months has been trying and disheartening culminating, with a death of a loved one. (For cast and synopsis information see Episode 1)

1% of Anything (2016) – Episode 1

So, your first question should be “Why are we recapping this drama?” It’s simple! Our fearless leader, Snoopy’s Twinkie and I are a HUGE, I mean HUGE fans of the original drama, 2003 1% of Anything which starred Kang Dong Won as Lee Jae In and Kim Jung Hwa as Kim Da Hyun. As a matter of record, it was Snoopy’s marathon suggestion that lead me to the original. Okay, first of all, a lot of people didn’t care for it. Why? I have no idea. Maybe because there was no romance/ push-pull that I so hate. Maybe because it is an older drama. Maybe because it was one of Kang Dong Won’s first dramas and it did take his acting a bit to kick start. However, what I liked about it was the fact it was about the evolution of a romance between two people. Nothing else.

Death Cash (2016) – Episode 7

The Death Cash curse goes all out for this episode. We have a scare with my sweetheart, Koyume, Mari is playing house with Professor Zaitsu (Toshio Kakei), and we continue to hold him culpable for all the death and destruction so far. So, why wasn’t Mari listening to Yuka this episode? Watch and see as this drama slowly winds down and there aren’t too many bodies left now. (For cast and synopsis information see Episode 1)

AID, a new euphemism for what we thought to be good is twisted and turned ugly in this episode. We have a new case that is takes low to a new level and can I dislike Shoji more? Yes, I can. As the mysteries continues, we still have 2 more episodes to go to find out who is the puppet master behind Shoji’s man on the street and who actually killed him. Let’s continue on with episode 7! I swear, I cannot believe not many people are watching this drama! As a big Final Destination movie fan, there are so many nuances of this drama that really reminds me of the movie. We have a story; old wives tale if you will, a person who sees death before it happens and the people that are trying to stop all of this from happening. Win! Win!
