With the eldest of the family being a leader of scientific investigation, a brother-in-law who teaches at Police School, a second sister who is a detective, a younger sibling whose whole family is made up of policemen or women. Yeong-hee is a former national fencing athlete and current detectve in the narcotics department. She’s been supporting her boyfriend for 7 years in a row to help him get through police test.
Musings: This was a pleasant surprise. Having seen the first movie a year or so ago, I was expecting prenty much the same or an attempt to re-create the fun that was in the first; however, this actually exceeded the first.
Overall, the acting and romance between Han Chul Soo and Park Yeong Hee was nice. The acting of the two leads was also a plus. I really think Jin Se Yeon does well in movies. With this experience, she will get better and better in dramas. I cannot say I’ve watch much of Hong Jong Hyun but the man can rock a suit! With or without a tie!
Han Chul Soo’s mother and father were a HOOT! Over the years I’ve seen both actors here and there but as memorable characters as these? No. There could be an entire movie on their antics along and I would have enjoyed it! The things they did to their son to keep him from passing the police test was mean and cruel but highly inventive!
Kim Eung Soo as Park Man Choon was determined on two things: Park Chul Soo never dating his daughter and catching the Han family. His many attempts were thwarted by the prey themselves. When they baited him to a love motel where his son in law was, they left him a note telling him to say “Thank You”.
Overall you cannot go wrong with a movie that is funny and with a decent romance. As you know, romance isn’t a big draw to me but this movie did a good job of making me interested. Good Job!
