Synopsis: The movie centers around an elderly romance between Sung Chil (Park Geun Hyung) and Geum Nim (Yoon Yeo Jung), and portrays family values.
Musings: You young folks, don’t be distracted by the fact this movie centers around an elderly couple! Au contraire! It truly is about love and family at a level you may not see too often in movie, dramas or anywhere else. Besides the incredible acting of two of my favorite grandmother/mother; grandfather/father, it has a wonderfully put together supporting cast that will make you laugh, cry and happy to have been privileged to watch this movie.
These two on dates (Sung Chil and Geum Nim) was pretty fun to watch! Especially when Sung Chil, a little rough around the edges needed coaching from Jang Soo. Amazingly, the chemistry between these two seasoned actors worked very, very well! My favorite date was when they went to the 3D movie! Very, very funny!
Another favorite scene which actually didn’t involve the leads was with Jang Soo’s daughter and his wannabe lady love played by Hwang Woo Seul Hye. That scene with her taking on the bullies was priceless.
There are secrets galore in this movie and I’m not telling! You really have to watch and I am sure that you too will enjoy! Young or old, pure love in its best form cannot be shown any clearer than in this movie. Take a chance. Watch and tell me what you think!
