Movie Monday – Drama Special ~ Home Sweet Home (2016)

Synopsis: Genius scientist Se-Jung lives with her cyborg husband Sung-Min. Prior to Se-Jung transforming Sung-Min into a cyborg, she erased his past memory and programmed new information into him. This led to them having a happy marriage, but those who knew Sung-Min prior to his transformation visit them and try to correct his distorted memory.

Musings: This was definitely a love story of another kind. Se-Jung was so in love with Sung-Min and so unsure of her ability to attract him that the results are what you see.

It is through the flashbacks into Sung-Min’s memories as they return to his cyborg self that really tells the story of their relationship. And it is a very sad relationship indeed. Not so much because of Sung-Min but because of what Se-Jung failed to realized.

This was a love story of a different kind. Se-Jung loved Sung-Min a lot! Lee Sang Yeob and Son Yeo Eun personified this love very well as the chemistry between the two made me want to watch Lee Sang Yeob in a full drama! It’s been awhile. Son Yeo Eun, I haven’t seen since Gu Am Heo Joon. This is a love story of betrayal, deep love and a little murder. The sadness of the story comes in the watching of the story. A nice surprise for a little drama special indeed. Murder. Sci-Fi, and mystery combined together in a short 90 minute movie.
