Tis the season to be jolly! As Christmas Day, 2015 approaches, I would like to take the time to wish everyone that celebrates, a joyous and merry Christmas. This time last year, I had just finished chemotherapy for Breast Cancer and was weeks into radiation. So, this holiday season is truly special for me as I approach 2016 cancer free (or so they say). There are so many that aren’t as blessed that are still fighting the fight and I wish them all the power to conquer and continue to fight!
Though my Aunt and sister continue their fight, we are seeing some progress in their recovery. I really hope that people take the time to have their mammograms done and perform the self-breast checks on a regular basis. Sure, it is scary. I should know. This isn’t my first go round with cancer and I don’t believe it will be the last.
So, from me to you. I hope that you and your family have a joyous and blessed holiday. Regardless of whether you celebrate or not, I hope everyone takes the time to take stock of their life and be happy….2016 is just around the corner…Yes, life does get better!!
