My Top 10 Japanese Drama Picks for 2015 Continues

My Top 10 Japanese Drama Picks for 2015 Continues

Yes, I had to take a rest. It took a couple of days to let my mind simmer and relax. I had no idea that I would be so long winded. Blame it on the fact that most of these dramas, I never wrote a review for even though I had the best intentions to do so. So, let’s continue with the rest of my picks. Again, I don’t necessarily expect agreement but as most of this lists are opinion posts, here we go again! (Check out Nelly’s blog, she might have rated dramas with **) Continue reading

My End of the Year Japanese Drama Picks for 2015 (Part Une)

My Top 10 Japanese Drama Picks for 2015

My Top 10 Japanese Drama Picks for 2015

This was truly the year of Japanese dramas and my continual love for them. Ending of 2014 into 2015 began my love and adoration for the Japanese Asadora dramas (Mon-Sat dramas where each episode is around 15 minutes and the dramas are generally 150+ episodes). From Massan to Mare, and then my forage backwards to watch the previous ones, my new love for the Asadora dramas continues; however, the drama offerings for 2015 were just more enticing for me when it came to the Japanese dramas. Unlike the 18 Korean dramas that I watch (plus 12 web dramas), the total Japanese dramas that I completed this year was 37! 37! More and more dramas are being made available from sites like Viki and DramaFever than ever before. Even Netflix has entered the arena with the new original drama, Atelier which I cannot wait to watch. Drama tested, Nelly approved! Don’t believe me, check out her blog for reviews of some of these dramas (marked with **) Continue reading

Merry Christmas 2015

Tis the season to be jolly! As Christmas Day, 2015 approaches, I would like to take the time to wish everyone that celebrates, a joyous and merry Christmas. This time last year, I had just finished chemotherapy for Breast Cancer and was weeks into radiation. So, this holiday season is truly special for me as I approach 2016 cancer free (or so they say). There are so many that aren’t as blessed that are still fighting the fight and I wish them all the power to conquer and continue to fight! Continue reading

Why My Drama Watching for 2015 was All About Chinese Dramas?

Banner Year for Chinese Dramas 2015

Banner Year for Chinese Dramas 2015

Something happened on the way to 2015. At the beginning of the year, I began following quite a few Chinese drama bloggers. As a result, the number of Chinese dramas increased exponentially as I would read the synopses and be drawn to the various posters BEFORE these dramas were ever released. Two dramas in particular, Nirvana in Fire and Cruel Romance were the first two dramas to entice my senses. When I also saw the extended trailers, I was immediately sold on the fact that I MUST watch these dramas! Continue reading

Painless (2015) – Episode 10 and Final Thoughts

As we come to the end of the drama and all of the Fall season shows are ending; Painless ended as you expected. There were no surprises and I found the ending to be quite tame. However, I will not say I was disappointed by the entire drama. For cast and synopsis information see Episode 1)

Painless (2015) – Episode 9

I don’t believe anyone who has watched this from the beginning is surprised by the outcome. First, Detective Hayase and his inability to listen to anyone-check. Dr. Shirokami and his involvement in Ibara’s actions-check. The chase after Ibara and Satomi-check. Dr. Tameyori coming to the realization of what is truly going on-check. As the drama heads to the finale, not sure we are going to be in for many surprises…or are we? For cast and synopsis information see Episode 1)
