Coming Soon – The Advocate: A Missing Body (2015)

There are very few actors that I love unconditionally and look forward to everything they do whether it is movies or dramas. While I admit I don’t always watch everything they release, I make every effort sometimes to do so. Lee Sun-Kyun is on that “short” list. Read on….

Stars
Lee Sun-Kyun as Lawyer Byeon Ho-Sung
Kim Go-Eun as Prosecutor Jin Sun-Mi
Lim Won-Hee as Ho-Sung’s Office Manager Park
Jang Hyun-Sung as CEO Moon Ji-Hoon
Hong Sung-Duk as Kim Man-Suk

Synopsis
A lawyer, Byeon Ho-Sung (Lee Sun-Kyun), takes on a murder case that doesn’t have any evidence or the body. He teams up with a prosecutor, Jin Sun-Mi (Kim Go-Eun), to uncover a hidden scheme behind the murder case.

Distributed by CJ Entertainment, The Advocate is coming to the U.S to limited theaters. Luckily I work near one of the theaters and it is my plan to go see this. I really love Lee Sun Kyun movies as he has never failed in delivering a stellar performance. Just watch any of his movies or read my reviews on A Hard Day or Romantic Island. Lee Sun Kyun is a consummate actor who is able to do just about any genre out there. And let’s not even mention the numerous dramas that I’ve watched with him in it; the first being Coffee Prince. For theater locations, check CJ Entertainment website. Starts here on October 23, 2015. Here’s the trailer.

Check back here for the review in the future. I’m going to see Lee Sun Kyun, Lee Sun Kyun! **Happy Dance**

  1. Lee Sun-kyun’s new movie is coming to a theatre near us! My daughter and I are really cramming cinema this coming weekend. Miyazaki’s “Princess Mononoke” and “Spirited Away” are at our local theatre for a one-day run, and the Chinese, Hong Kong, Taiwan (joint project) drama “Assassin” is premiering same day, same theatre as “The Advocate”.

“The Assassin” premiered at the 2015 Cannes Festival and received Best Director award, it also received Best Foreign Language Film (entry from Taiwan) at the Academy Awards.
