Synopsis
After twelve arduous labors and the loss of his family, this dark, world-weary soul turned his back on the gods finding his only solace in bloody battle. Over the years he warmed to the company of six similar souls, their only bond being their love of fighting and presence of death. These men and women never question where they go to fight or why or whom, just how much they will be paid. Now the King of Thrace has hired these mercenaries to train his men to become the greatest army of all time. It is time for this bunch of lost souls to finally have their eyes opened to how far they have fallen when they must train an army to become as ruthless and blood thirsty as their reputation has become. –Radical Comics

My Thoughts
Anytime I can enjoy a movie with my youngest daughter who DOESN’T usually like any of the movies I do, it is a good experience. I can say that we enjoyed the HECK of Hercules. What I liked most about Hercules was it wasn’t serious 90% of the time. Humor was constantly infused into the movie by several characters. I especially loved Amphiaraus (Ian McShane). His continual reference to his impending death left you in stitches.

The animal stunts had me winching! The scenes were pretty vivid for me or maybe we were just sitting too damn close to the movie screen. Dwayne Johnson (as he likes to be called now) definitely bulked up for this role. He was oozing muscles all over the screen. The movie was definitely a typical Brett Ratner film. With just the right amount of action, comedy and being totally devoid of romance, it was a good watch for a Saturday evening. Thank you, daughter for a wonderful evening! First US movie at the theater since The Avengers!

Here’s the Movie Trailer

IMDB Rating: strong 7, almost 8 because I wasn’t bored!!
