Singer-turned-actress Hwang Jung-eum will star in the upcoming SBS weekend drama “Endless Love” (working title) after a six-month vacation from her latest KBS drama “Secrets“.
The 50-episode drama will depict Korea in the 1990s, Jung-eum will collaborate with leading actors to include veteran actors Cha In-pyo and Ryoo Soo-yeong. Jeong Woong-in, who has been beloved by his villain character in last year’s SBS drama “I Hear Your Voice“, will also join the production team. Also Jung Kyung Ho coming off of the sensational (my words) “Heartless City” last year, will also be joining the cast.
The drama will be filmed in such locations as Taean, South Chungcheong, as well as Gunsan and North Jeolla to portray vivid images of modern Korea.
“Endless Love” is Hwang’s 12th drama. The drama is is slated to be aired next month, June 2014.
Plot
Set in the 1980s. Drama series contains the work and love of a woman named In-Ae (Hwang Jung-Eum). Gwang-Hoon (Ryu Soo-Young) is an ambitious man. He is from the eldest son from a poor family. In-Ae sees her mother’s death and decides to take revenge. Gwang-Cheol (Jung Kyoung-Ho) is Gwang-Hoon’s younger brother. Since he was a child, he never stopped loving In-Ae who is his older brother’s lover.
Cast also will include Cha In Pyo, Jung Kyung Ho, Ryu Soo Young, Hwang Jung Eum, Seo Hyo Rim, and Jung Woong In
My thoughts
I don’t care what anyone says, this is my girl! And except for that dismal excuse for a drama called “Full House 2″, she hasn’t disappointed me in the least (seen 9 out of 12 of those dramas). Again, I’ll be breaking my “weekend” drama avoidance rule to watch this.
